‘Marked black seats inside the stadium form lines pointing in the directions of the other South African stadia where World Cup matches will be played, with one line pointing to Berlin’s Olympiastadion where the final match of the 2006 World Cup was played. The seats are coloured to represent the city of gold and an African sunrise, and the tunnels to the pitch resemble mining tunnels, which are a reminder of the city’s history” (Source: sagoodnews.co.za)
Today the construction of the Mordovia Arena on the bank of the River Insar is in full swing. The stadium, whose exterior resembles a solar sphere, will host games as part of the 2018 World Cup. The architectural concept harks back to ancient Mordva myth. According to the pre-Christian mythology of the Erzia people, the highest deity was the sun god, Chipaz. The Moksha people believed that the world was created by Shkay, also known as Shkabavaz or Sun God.
In the Erza mythology, the superior deities were hatched from an egg. The mother of gods is called Ange Patiai, followed by the Sun God, Chipaz, who gave birth to Nishkepaz, to the earth god. Mastoron kirdi and to the wind god, Varmanpaz. From the union of Chipaz and the Harvest Mother, Norovava, was born the god of the underworld, Mastorpaz.

Aaru usually was placed in the east where the Sun rises, and described as boundless reed fields, like those of the earthly Nile Delta. This ideal hunting and farming ground allowed the souls here to live for eternity. More precisely, Aaru was envisaged as a series of islands covered in fields of rushes. The part where Osiris later dwelt is sometimes known as the "field of offerings", Sekhet Hetepet in Egyptian.
