The January launch involved a Simorgh rocket, and the February one employed a different booster, the Safir.

Nahid (Persianناهید‎, meaning "Venus") is an Iranian solar-powered communication satellite[1][2][3][4] with a planned launch to low Earth orbit in September 2019.[5] Apparently, a major accident occurred on the launch pad during launch preparation on 29 August 2019. The fate of the satellite is unknown.[6].

Simorgh (Persianماهواره‌بر سیمرغ‎, Phoenix), also called Safir-2, is an Iranian expendable small-capacity orbital carrier rocket,[3] which was originally scheduled to make its maiden flight in 2010.[4]
